Rapid PHP is free to try for a limited period of time, without any significant functionality restrictions. Installing the software is a simple procedure and it should not take more than a minute to complete it. You will need to have the actual PHP language installed on your computer. Although it's not mandatory, the software won't work properly without it.

The user interface resembles a program from an older MS Office version. It presents a wide range of options, on several toolbars and top menus. The best part about the interface is that it can be customized. You can either detach each panel from the interface and place it in a different position or use one of the software's predefined layouts.

Rapid PHP allows you to work in various languages, including PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and others. You can use the options on the toolbars to insert commonly used tags, forms, tables and others items. You can also insert all sorts of coding elements, from one of the panels on the interface, which are neatly categorized by language.

It is possible to switch between different view modes in the main editing area. Besides the standard mode, in which you can write your code, you can go to a preview mode, powered by Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, in which you can see how your project looks. It is also possible to split the editing area, horizontally or vertically, to see the editing area and the preview at the same time.
